Certainly, global warming is a very serious issue. It has been observed that the temperature has been increasing worldwide, and with those changes it’s been very difficult for some species to survive, and also, some diseases that are related to temperature conditions have been spreading to places where they are not very common. The rising of temperature is related to changes in the concentrations of the Greenhouse gases. Those gases are naturally a part of the atmosphere, but some of the activities we do every day are increasing their concentration. I don’t really do much to help. I use a lot of electric energy, but I try to maintain the lights that I’m not using turned off, and I use public transportation.
Global warming is also a problem that has to be managed by the government. To reduce the emissions, some countries need to cover the costs. Developed countries are big producers of gases, and Kyoto Protocol was made to put limits to their gas emissions. Developing countries don’t have those legal limitations, but some of those countries have to take their own actions to contribute.
It is very difficult to make an impact only by changing individual lifestyle, but it’s a way to contribute to diminish the problem. Try not to use electricity excessively, or sharing the car, those are some simple things we all can do. It’s all about being conscious about the impact of our actions for every form of life in the Earth.
